    2001 Cobra Coosa 216

    Hello guys,
Before i tear by bilge apart is there anyone who could tell me what bilge, livewell, and pump out pumps my boat has. i would like to order all new and replace. But i dont want to tear all my batteries out just to check because i am going to order pumps online. So i would like to be able to fix it the same day i take it apart.

My livewell pumps are Mayfair. I think they're the original. I replaced my bilge pump many years ago and don't remember what it was.

Just did my friends 2005 (I believe) 216, they were Mayfair cartridge type. No idea if that was stock or if the same as 2001. If they are the same getting to the bilge was easy. Pull center battery, couple screws and the center cover plate (that the batt sits on) comes out and you have good access to the bilge.

If they are mayfair or similar you don't have to tear it apart. I just did mine on a 2001 201 and just remove the cartridge two butt connectors and insert the new cartridge and off you go.

My 2002 had Mayfair/Johnson cartridge type for both live wells and pump out, and a Mayfair/Johnson non cartridge bilge with separate Mayfair/Johnson auto float switch. Replaced all two years ago when I bought it. Pretty easy access compared to everything Else I have.
