xpress x19, 200ho G2, aluminum sawtooth cut prop, paper sack tackle storage, ugly stik pro team, color c-lector
lol use the search function and check each forum
seeks like people struggle propping rudes. Mercury really puts in work on their props and testing.
Agree, Merc has great props, but that's as far as I can go......

Those merc props go right on a rude. Ive never heard of this being an issue until now. Nobody runs rudes on fast boats due to lower unit design for a surfaced unit but thats a rarity on most boats and if theyre worried about it they just put a mercury lower on it and its a done deal. On a regular bassboat this is of no concern and as many props out there from yamaha, mercury and brp that interchange with each motor brand this is a non issue.

I love my Merc, but it's like a Chevy vs Ford thing.

Have a Merc right now,, don't plan to ever own another if i can help it
I'd take either one for free. Right now I'm being pushed around by a Japanese black motor.
Welcome to the BBC!!
Both engines are reliable to a point. If your repowering your current boat I would go back with whatever engine your is wired for new controls and wiring can add cost the project that may not be needed. If looking for another boat I would pick the boat you want and not so much the engine. I would also check my area for mechanics are around and what kind of reputation they have.
Around here most people run Mercs because there is three dealers close that top notch. Only one evinrude mechanic around and he's pretty hit or miss if it's going to get fixed right the first or second time or at all for that matter.

If the rewiring cost is a non-issue, I would base it upon the local mechanics ... when it has an issue (both will at some point .. even if it's just maintenance) I'd want to make sure it was in good hands
Nice 1st post!

I dont care what motor you have ain't none of them reliable and all the manufacturers are quick to sell you that there motors are the best so on and so on and then when something happens to it there quick to deny the claim. But ya this will turn into a shit show for sure
