I assume rough water ride and performance but there's no way I could go from the widest front deck around to a 721.

Are you saying the Phoenix is a better rough water ride than a Ranger.

You should be able to turn a 26p fury 3 blade without issue. I use a 4 blade on erie and like it alot because it gives a ton of lift and jumps on plane incredibly fast. But other than that I run a 3 blade in either 25p or 26p

Which 4 blade and which pitch are you running on the 921?

I thought so. The 520 seems to slap more than it cuts waves.

Ive run both the 24 and 25 pitch furys. The 25 is the best prop for that boat and topped out at 73mph 5900 rpm with 2 people fully loaded and full tank of fuel. With the 24 I hit the rev limiter and top out at 71. But the 24 jumps up out if the water instantly and keeps the nose nice and high

Just liked the layout and ride of the Phoenix. Don't get me wrong ranger rides good. But the Phoenix takes these big waves on ky lake a whole lot better. It's just a boat you have to drive. But I'm still getting there. Just take a ride in a Phoenix and you will see. Espically what you get for the money. Good luck Bobby.

I've had ranger520- great boat. Now in 17 721- now that I'm used to it- really like it. Faster and better ride vs ranger. Front deck plenty wide enough for me. U have to be more
precise when loading onto trailer no doubt- ranger easiest boat I've ever had to load on trailer

By myself- mine starts chining 70 or so but I usually don't fly running solo- in tourney with partner- can hit 74-75 no prob-- balancing load makes big difference

Yes that is the biggest difference that I have noticed coming from the ranger.

I have a 2013 721, I went to a 25p Fury this year, raised my 8" plate to 3.25" ptp and ran 72.9 on a pretty warm day. Dual power poles, loaded down pretty good. What others have said, the 721 does not like a lot of trim, break it over and let it build up steam then start coming up on the trim.

As to the trailer and loading, it all depends on the ramp, some of them are a piece of cake, others a real SOB. Fenders 4-6" out of the water, long bunks exposed, some ramps she comes on up fine, others it comes in low.

Good luck with it, I absolutely love mine.

Thanks PHNX ed I'm still adjusting the motor height. I'm getting about 70 now but my RPM Are only 5600 so thinking of swapping to the fury 25p 3 blade and see if that helps. It thanks for the input.

also on the trailer issue Marine Master came to the house and found that the fender was out of plum. They are fixing it as we speak. They are making it right. So hopefully that should resolve that problem. Thanks for the input.
