Well, I guess if you're an english major like rds_nc, you are right.....

But you are suppose to use your age THIS YEAR (not current age, but what you will be this year) and the year you were born.

In my own case, that'd be 1964, plus 53 (2017-1964 = 53)

I too could use my current age of 52, and make it not work, since it'd then be 1964 + 52 = 2016.

And if you take 1960 when he was born, and add 56 his age, they do not come to 2017, which means his birthday hasn't happened yet this year.

Exactly I was born in 1961, and I am 55 that comes out to 2016, my birthday is in December.
