    Bent prop shaft

How hard is it to change the shaft on a maxxum 70lb trolling motor?

I didn't say that to be sarcastic. I said it because I have a friend that would flunk the test at Sears to buy a screwdriver -- they are those out there. Changing the armature isn't hard (for me anyway) -- it's the little stuff you have to get right when changing something out.

Yeah, it can be challenging trying to get the armature not to be slammed around by the magnets, and not chipping or busting the brushes, or a myriad of other things, although simple, that can be frustrating. Good thing there's only two wires. I think my old motor is a 70 Maxxum, but since I busted the top off and bought a replacement from you, I can't remember how much thrust it has. It has to be the toughest trolling motor made, I've beat it like a rented mule, it still functions. I once ran into a bulkhead so hard it ripped part of the bow off the boat, and knocked the spring out of the retainer inside the ball housing. I can't get the prop off anymore, but it still works.
