In my 1998 Skeeter ZX195c, the low oil indicator light broke off. I bought an indicator light to replace it and I was investigating the wiring so I could put connectors on. It seems that my overheat light and my low oil light are tied together with what I assume is a common ground. I broke out the trusty test light to figure out what I was working with. When I turn the key, the low oil light flashes briefly and my test light flashes as well confirming power. Does the overheat light do the same? When I tried to test power to the overheat light, it does not flash at the key turn nor does the test light come on. Is it common for the lights to be tied together with a common ground? If the overheat does not flash when I turn the key and it is supposed to, I have a wiring gremlin to track down. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
