Having trouble with my 1199 transducer at the dash losing its depth. I can be sitting still and the 2D screen will be reading and just stop and go to 1.7ft and the screen goes blank. Then it will start back up when it feels like it. Gets really annoying when running shallow areas especially when it would always have depth reading while doing 30-35 mph.
Any ideas?
Are you using a shoot-thru hull transducer with a y-cable?

No im using the SI transducer no thru hull transducer.
Might try checking transducer alignment if it is intermittent. Also, make sure you have good power to the unit and good connections with the transducer. What kind of boat?
