Which oil for Rebuilt Johnson 175

What oil do you all use/recommend for a 2004 Johnson 175 Carb Engine? I can get a good deal on mercury premium plus. I have read that xd50 is also a good choice. I'm mainly wondering if I should use synthetic or not. I am going to premix my fuel and gas. I want to make this engine last a long time.

https://domo-online.com/ - Run the XD50. You'll need to decarb annually. Run the XD100, best synthetic you could use. I run it in my 2004 Johnson 150.

Seeing you've decided to pre-mix use either XD-50 or the Quicksilver Premium Plus both are synthetic blends. I don't know if QS has any additives but I do know that X-50 has an anti carbon additive called Carb-X. IMHO it is cost prohibitive to run XD-100 in a carbed motor. I don't mind running a can of engine tuner through the motor once every 100 hours.
