Question Hot Foot for a Cougar

I am picking up my boat this saturday

One of the first things I want to do is have a hot foot installed.

Its a 2000 BassCat Cougar with a Mercury 225 EFI motor.

Can I get recommendations on the best place to purchase ?
And will I need to replace the throttle cable ?

    Thanks

Hot foot usually runs $150-$175 depending where you buy and taxes. Might get lucky on craigslist or ebay. Remove your throttle cable and meaure it. Add 3 foot to your measurement and that will be your final length for your cable. Hope this helps.

That would be our suggestion, always use a slide plate.

It really gives you a wider mounting base to the floor and the screws won't get pulled out.

I read on another forum, that BassCat Boats does not
recommend or endorse a hot foot on their boats.

    True ????????

if you want a hot foot put it in not going to hurt a thing its preference
their are a few negatives with high performance boat as bass cat is
and i think your right they dont like them but they are installed at factory on some builds
