T/C Encore
Guy looking for for guidance my soon to be wifes uncle passed away and i found just just the action and the 50 cal barrel in tucked away. i am sure the barrel is shot however i am hoping to save the action, my goal is to put a 38 or 357 barrel on it to take the kids deer hunting trying to make something that they are not scared to shoot and am going to cut the stock down so it fits. Any way here is the problem it is froze up i can not close the action is there something that i can soak it in to see if it will free up. The way it is now is no good so i have nothing to lose.

Bore cleaner is what I always used. After that I would make sure to put a good coat of rem-oil and wipe of the excess

Get you some Kano Kroil. You wont be sorry, this stuff really cuts rust and penetrates like nothing else.

+1 on Kroil It's what the government uses and TVA also . Only the best with our tax dollars for Uncle Sam.
