The title says it all... what do you guys think? I'm thinking Loomis.

G. Loomis for sure.
Loomis hands down
Croix and loomis.
I think the exotics and top line rods. Megabass, Evergreen, Loomis..

I will say out of all the brands rarely will you see a Falcon Cara on the rods for sale page because people that buy them keep them. There are tons of Dobyns, Loomis, 13, etc. Are people buying these rods and it's not the model they thought they needed (i.e. power, length, action) so they're selling to try another model? Or are they "pro staffers" unloading rods for new ones coming in?
Falcon Cara rods hold their valve but good things don't come cheap. Two rods I prefer are swim jig & Amistad
Dobyn's.

Seems to me that ALXs are pretty hard to find used, and when they come up they sell within a day or two. That says a lot about value.
My vote is on those two - St. Croix and G Loomis
Loomis
In reality none of them, Invest in GOLD
Loomis Megabass, Evergreen and anything limited.
ALX
I picked up an excellent condition Evola 7'0" Med/Fast BC rod with the upgraded gold cermets. The original MSRP was like $599 - I got is for ~ $175 shipped.
So, not all exotics hold value...lol.
2 categories will hold value in any market. The first is the cheapest option. Even used the price will not fall that much as a percentage of the original price as nothing else is available. The other option is the most expensive/highest quality option. As there is nothing viewed as better the price will always be high. If you do plan on selling at some point it may not be worth shipping the low cost option.
