    920 or 919?

I just sold my 2013 920/Merc 250 and am looking at another 920 or a 919 with a SHO. Has anyone made the swap from a 920 to a 919 and what's your feedback? Any regrets? I am concerned with storage and rough water ride...

    thanks!

the storage is basically the same, you loose 7" of rod locker and get a big lid in the center

Going to a shorter boat would suck. My previous boat was 20-1 and I thought it wouldn't be to big of a deal going 19-8. It kinda is.

If its not a money issue or a storage issue I don't think I'd downsize. Mine fits my needs perfectly though.

I've argued this with a couple people. They say it cant be the same because they have two lids and we have one.
For ease of tackle/3700 removal I think ours is easier unless you dont pack the front compartment full. And if they don't put tackle in the front compartment then we have more tackle storage.

I'm not sure 5" is that big of a deal. Its more of how the 819/919 is laid out with the gas tank/big back deck with the shorter front deck.

It's a shorter boat no matter how you measure it. That's the downside 19-8 will never be a 20-6.

Better yet, go to a 721. The price is between the 2 (actually closer to the 919) but you get more length than the 920 + the 250. Yes, I'm biased since I have one, but I truly love this boat. It's the perfect combination of speed and size.

    920. Simply because I am a pack rat and have never liked one lid compartments, just don't suit my needs the way I store stuff. I would not have a one lid center compartment.

So I went on Phoenix site and checked out 919 front storage.
Is that a Lazy Susan in the front most part of the box? Only 3600's in there?
I need to keep some plastics up front somewhere. Where do you guys keep those?
I'm asking cuz I'd really like to downsize from my 921, and like speed and handling a lot!
Would 10' Blades mess up the speed?

Nice! You'd think they would update that on the Phoenix site. I knew that about lazy susan on 921, but not 919.
So Drew, You keep your plastics in plano's? I just took all mine out of those and rebagged 'em...lol

yep I know they need to let me work on there website,
I only keep a a couple of 3600s with creature baits, and trick worms and 2 3700s with out dividers with plastics still in the packs that I use a lot, all my other plastics are in the large 7080 boxs in the rear compartments http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Plano...-PL708001.html
I wouldn't put any plastics in the front area, use that for crank baits and keep plasitcs in the first couple of slots or in the 3600 area.

Thanks. I just keep a few bags for the day in my front most compartment in one of those plastic shoe boxes, exactly like the one on right side of your storage.
    Appreciate the pics and ideas.

920 - more storage and a longer deck for longer rods.
