350 Verado Surges at 4000 RPM to 5000 RPM

    Mercury 350 Verado 2B202272

I very rarely go above 35 mph and 3500 RPM

I was thinking Gas--Fuel Filter--Plug's or just need to run it harder??

    Any other idea's??

How many hours. Hole shot ok? Do you run ethanol gas or just straight? treat the gas with quickleen or ring free?

94 hours and Hole shot is OK. Also use - 1,2,and 3 Mercury Additive. Have to run 93 Octane with Ethanol--Non ethanol at 91 Octane is not available.

Ran it hard today and it seems to of cleaned up!!!

If you have further difficulties, try changing the fuel filter.

If you haven't changed those plugs yet... they're probably due.

I just ran it hard the other day and it cleared up!!
Probably bad gas or a fouled plug.
