Went from std to syn oil.on My 250 SHO

My last oil change was at 200 hrs(2012 SHO on 2013 Boat). The dealer only had Yamaha syn oil. All my oil changes up to then( every 50 Hrs plus a couple more during break in) were with Yamaha std. 4 cycle oil. Will this hurt my motor? Should I stick with Syn or can I go back to std.

Good question. I ordered the 100hr service kit with synthetic and was wondering the same question. Yamaha recommends the synthetic but I've seen quite a few say to run the std.

on my 3rd oil change at 50 hours when I actually did the 100 hour service I switched to Full Synthetic also.
