Just leave the tray in and install an insert of some type to fill the hole and bring the area back flush with the rest of the deck. You might or the next person down the line might change their minds and want the tray again.
Leave trey installed and just finish off deck over it. You can always take out cover and still have trey.
im curious as to why you dont like the foot tray?knee problems used to limit my fishing time, when i finally got my 1st tray several years ago,it was like getting a cortisone shot without the needle!
kinda partial on the MK POWER V2 foot pedal , put it anywhere on the deck. just like the open floor plan myself that's all.
I just covered my tray with a piece of 1/8" aluminum plate and some 3M non-skid. Used the existing footwell screws to attach the plate. My Ulterra foot pedal is loosely attached to the new flat plate with a large piece of velcro.
