Do I just suck or is tenkiller really fishing this tough right now?

Brought the family over to do a little camping and I have had my butt kicked by these bass. Water temps are through the roof and blue bird skies all weekend. Managed some sand bass but the others were non existent.

I probably should have went out at night. Getting old makes it harder to drag myself out when it's bedtime lol.

Yep, that's what's really sucks. Drive 2 1/2+ hours round trip for that very short window of opportunity in the morning or evening.

    I'm ready for fall/winter/spring, lol....

You can catch them after the sun comes up you just have to deal with oppressive heat and negative nancy fishing partners complaining all the time.

The bane of any good fisherman's existence! I've threatened to use 'em as chum before!

Tenkiller is tough right now. This time of year the thermocline is typically around 25' which means the fish are all in less than 25' of water, Saturday the thermocline was at 38'. This must be due to the flood earlier in the year and all the current produced from lowering the lake level to normal. If you can find a brush pile 35' deep and have the patients to fish it, you will probably load the boat with big fish, the deepest brush I fished was 25' and we caught 3 small fish out of it.
We managed about 15 fish Saturday with the biggest being just under 4lbs, every one of our fish came out of brush.

Fall sounds good to me. We will be camped out quite a bit over there when all the kids go back to school and the lake lice store their boats for the winter.
