Have you compared the software version in your Humminbird account with the version shown on your unit?

the solix also prefers a certain type of touch. you can't quick touch like you do with your smart phone or tablet. you have to do a slightly delayed touch but not hold long enough to be a long touch. It's takes a bit to get used to but once you do it works pretty consistently

I agree with this. Took a little getting used to on the Onix. And, as stated, make sure the software is up to date.

I have the Solix 12, and I agree - the touchscreen response is unbearable. The original iPhone from 10 years ago has a faster GUI. Don't believe me, I'll post a video. Hummingbird needs to optimize this yesterday! The ONLY reason I'm keeping the unit is because I like like the images, I care less for the implementation of the touch interface.

Picked up the mega units .. didn't use the features on the Onix enuff to justify extra cash for the bells and whistles .. The Helix offers the meat and potatoes without the bells .. and the touch and making a custom view was the only things that I used on a regular basis that the Helix doesn't have .

I guess I'll finally see if the touch is any different on the Solix! Very excited! Lots of install work to do.

I have a Solix 12 SI on the console that is just a tick slower than my hds 9 gen2 and is understandable for such a new unit. The Solix on the front is extremely slow and will only read the Lake master map card about half the time. Both units are running the latest software update. Great images but they do have their share of bugs to be worked out

Looks like they found the 2d issue I posted about? I said it seemed like sensitive got hotter at a certain depth

Fixed a harsh 2D sonar sensitivity transition at 10 ft depths.
