IMHO, you can't go wrong with Browning rifles. I'm an owner and a fan.

I have had an x bolt stainless in 300 win mag for a few years and it's been flawless. The hells canyon looks awesome. You won't go wrong with a browning rifle..

I have one in 30-06 and just ordered another in 6.5 Creedmore...So they are alright IMHO Before that I had an A-bolt in 300 WSM...that one was pretty sweet too.

If you can afford it go for it. If funds were available it definitely would be an awesome rifle to have. But sadly that isn't available for me. I'm still trying to save up to buy a Tikka T3 or a Ruger 77. I have the ruger all American in 270 and I love that rifle. If anyone gets one let us know how it is. Might have to save up a little longer and get one of these

I have an A-Bolt Medallian in .308. I like it a lot. It's very accurate and well made. The trigger is adjustable.

Tikka makes a great rifle at a decent price. I have a T3 Lite chambered in 7mm mag and paid around $800 for it a couple years ago.

    That Browning is sweet though!!

I got to shoot the X bolt 6.5 this morning and it's a shooter, only had a 100 yards but with 143gr I can cover three shots with a penny. Very very low recoil.

I can tell you from experience the Tikka rifles are well worth the money and are excellent shooters. I personally wouldn't spend my money on a Ruger 77.

Nice group. Who makes the ammo you were shooting?

Good timing. The Hells Canyon looks really nice. Probably shoots just as nice as well. I was checking out Gunbroker on a whim yesterday, saw that Northern Firearms had a bunch of Browning X-bolts in various calibers for about $500 new in box. Granted they are not the Hells Canyon, but for that price ended up grabbing a X-bolt in 6.5 Creed with a Kryptek stock. So, I'll report back results when I hit the range. Hoping to put down a coues whitetail in Southern AZ this fall.

As far as Tikka rifles.....I love my T3 in 30.06. It's going with me on my elk hunt in October.

I bet it will shoot good, I have two tikkas, a hunter 25-06 and a T3 lite in 223.
The 223 is very accurate. The 25-06 is just ok.

I have shot plenty of ruger 77s and absolutely loved the rifle. I will eventually own both the 77 and the tikka one day if my wife don't kill me first
