    Ranger 520 comanche prop

I have a 2001 520 comanche with a 2015 225 pro xs. I have been running a tempest 25p prop and had 1 blade Crack half way through last night. I am looking at new props and wonder if I should go back with a tempest or go with a fury. I have read the tempest is better for heavy boats like a ranger. Just wanting some in put.

Second question I am turning about 5600 rpm with the 25p I have now if I go with a 24p to raise my rpm's a little will I see a loss in hole shot. I carry a fair amount of tackle and have Talons also so I hate to lose to much on my hole shot.
    Thank you any input.

You should see an improved holeshot. You might see a loss in top end.
If you do end up changing to a fury you will need to go down 1 pitch. 24 fury = 25 tempest as an example.

Changing to a 24" tempest may gain you some rpm's and help your hole shot but you may not gain any speed. The 24" tempest usually needs some work to make it run right and I don't think a fury 3 will carry the bow on the 520 but a 24 fury 4 might.

Try to find a 23p TXP to try, it is a very durable 3 blade

I would try a 23p Razor-3. It won't be faster than a worked Tempest, but it will carry the load better.

The fury 4 is the best prop my boat has ever seen I get the best of both worlds if I was you I would go to a 24p fury 4. All how about Ranger guys that had ran them love them not one that complained. The Ranger 520 loves that fury four 4
