Update on bow roller replacement. PLEASE READ!

As some remember, i posted a few weeks ago about my bow roller causing scratches on my hull and speaking with a gentleman at Marine Master trailers who was less than understanding. Several on here reported buying a particular replacement roller which I did and it seemed to fix the issue. Fast forward to a few days ago, I posted on Facebook and marine master replied saying the plant manager had been wanting to speak with me. I contacted him and he seemed concerned with the issue and wants to get it resolved. He gave me his contact info and requested that I send photos directly to him. I'm headed to the lake to do that this evening since the boat needs to be off the trailer to get good pics. I told him that several others have had the same problem and he definitely wants to see what's going on so he can speak with the manufacturer of the bow roller. If you don't mind, please respond to this thread if you have experienced this so that I can get a head count. I'm not going to post up anyone's personal info but I do want to be able to give him some type of number so that he can see the prevalence of the issue. I am thankful that Marine Master has taken an interest in this issue. I admit that I was pretty hard on them after speaking with the first gentleman but this plant manager seems to understand customer service.

After inspecting mine when I replaced it, it has actually rubbed through the gel in a spot. I can see my lime green through my black hull where the bow rests on the port side ear.

Had the same issue. Two years the roller was completely worn out. The hole that the bolt goes through was completely warped so the roller no longer rolled. Scuffed up the front of the boat. Very poor product.

I don't see any major marks on my hull but roller is compressed on the sides and worn in the middle. Tried replacing it this morning and found original bolt too short. Off to the hardware store in a few hours to see if I can find the right part.

Need to check this out, but boat is in for warranty work at the moment.
I know there were times when the bow eye went between the center and port side ear.
    Maybe that's a yes, then.

I've replaced mine with another factory marine master trailer roller.
It's still scratching my gel coat... When I have the $ I'll be upgrading it...

I had to replace mine. The factory one was crushed in one spot and wouldn't roll

MY Ameratrails have come with Blue Yates rollers. They don't mark at all and last forever. Also, occasionally you want to loosen the bow strap and make sure you can turn the roller. If not, unbolt it and grease the shaft. It gets dirty and they stop rolling and that's how they wear out.

Mine has scratches and had it buffed out when I repaired some damage from rebar. Boat has been in water maybe 20 times since scratches were buffed out. I wish there was a fix.
