    Deck latch locks

I'd like to get some new deck latches that I can lock and not worry about someone getting into my rods and tackle. My stock latches are work out and you can pull them open when locked. I've looked at TH Marine. They're about $24 bucks a pop. Anyone have other suggestions?

There are lots of good locking latches. But NONE that can't be broken into pretty easily. I installed SouthCo latches, replacing the old Perko latches that came on my Bass Cat. These latches are solid polished stainless, with a really stout cam and shaft. Only down-side is that they sell for about $60 a pop. Ten in my boat, which adds up. But they are REALLY solid, do NOT leak, and if you have the correct sized holes in your lids, they are a drop-in installation. I bought mine from the BCB parts department, leaving the locks off of the two live well doors, plus cooler lids. All the rest were locking and came with identical keys which gives you a bunch of spares...

Keep what you have and buy a Lok-R-Bar for around $200.
