sfw, I am running 14 gauge underground wire it's solid copper directly from the battery to 12 inches from the unit. It's the only thing on the battery.

Ditch the solid, you need stranded and twisted pair or shielded twisted pair is best.

    The more strands the better.

you should use marine grade wire..... imo this is the best possible wire for marine electronics. little pricey but as much as these machines cost there is no reason to skimp or take short cuts

I can't seem to get rid of these green lines. I'm starting to think my 2d sonar is bad.

At the moment no. I will try and get some tomorrow and post them. I bought this unit to replace my Lowrance down scan unit.. And it's really not out performing it at all kind of getting fed up with it. I will post more detailed info after I collect it tomorrow when I'm out on the water. Thanks guys for all the help.

Turn on your frequency label - for us to see what's going on.

IDK what frequency you're running, but I would use the 200 kHz Chirp band, and it looks like Switch-fire MAX is on, is it?

I run Switch-fire Clear in shallower (Almost NEVER EVER Max) - and reduce the sensitivity quite a bit because the receiver is so hot as we mentioned.

Another thing we have NOT seen is pics of the installation, which may or may not be part of the situation - but we can't tell without seeing.

Yes I will document with photos of the installation and all the settings that are currently programmed. I will navigate to deeper water tomorrow screenshot settings and such. I did have it on 200kz with switch fire max off. So not sure what the deal is. I have a splitter with mega ducer then a 2d ducer through hull.

I tried that unplugged the 2d splitter and got nothing at all just blank 2D screen. I'll have to remove the splitter and just run the mega ducer by itself. I know for sure that the mega doesn't run at speed with 2D. Thats the reason for having the splitter to shoot thru hull. Like I said I'll get some detailed photos of the setup and let you guys see it. Thanks again.

Yes, you'd have to just run the MSI only to see the results, unplugging only the 2D side has the 2D output connected to nothing, which is not good.

It works great. I've used it many times. Extremely easy to pull since it is in a single jacket. Solder the connectors if you have concerns about corrosion.
