A90 ISSUE

A friend of mine purchased an A90 to use on his ocean boat, is there a video showing the best settings for all around use? He said that his C80 picks up suspended bait fish and fish much better than his newer A90. im sure the settings are wrong but can't find any videos that explain how to best set it up. any help would be great.

Have him reset it to defaults and start over. He havin trouble on sonar or Di?

His issue is with sonar.

Make sure the software is updated to the latest. You can do a "sounder reset". As for a starting points, start with AUTO and adjust as needed.

Does he have an A98 or A97? They have different internal sounders. If he is an ocean guy and fishes deeper than 600ft it may be a 97.

How deep is he fishing? Do you know what transducer now versus the one before?

Any idea what ducer was on the C80? Are they installed in roughly the same place? I'm trying to determine if we are comparing apples to apples or apples to oranges.

Regardless, I'd suggest the software update, Sonar reset and run them in "auto" to start.

Sorry forgot about you. Pretty much all on manual but gain is on 40%. That changes from each body of water and time of year. I like a clean screen.

ya his screen looked like it had interference, maybe from another transducer. I will pass along your suggestions, thanks for the help.
