I move transducer to trolling motor.. And sometines i have the normal crystal clear image and after about 3 minutes it get about 6 bottom readings and depth is double what it actually is... I cann support and was dissapointed when i talked to a guy i could barely understand... He said its the transducer needs adjusting... Well i cant adjust that on trolling motor bracket... And it works fin for 3 minutes.. Then if i take it out water for a few minutes an put it back it works fine for 3 minutes.. Any ideas..

Can that be fixed? Im 6 months out of warranty... Go figure..

What if you turn unit on and off?

Same thing.. If unit in water then its still messed up even if i power off and on.. But if unit is out of water for a few minutes then it reads fine for a few minutes... Just started doing it when i mounted to trolling motor.. I have another transducer stashed away that i can try, but thats alot of running wires if its something else that maybe simple..

Unit is reading right its just shooting past the bottom.. I was in 3ft of water and it was showing 8... But if you look you can see the vottom.. It looks like the range is messed up.. But i have everything set to auto...

Make sure the software is updated and do a "Sonar Reset"

I did sonar reset while on at the lake.. In fact i went ahead and reset everything including data... Just to make sure... It did same thing over and over.. Love the unit but iim mad at it right now... Lol... Will shallow water cause it? When i called in to service, ibwas on the lake and the guy said to adjust angle and all brackets have an adjustment.. I looked and unless im crazy, theres no adjustment.. And i was just in a river the day before and worked fine but it was 10-25 deep water.. So ibdont see it veing an adjustment in transducer... The pic is good but its so small because 3/4 of screen is echos off bottom..

Just update... I believe transducer was bad.. Got another transducer and went to river, seemed to work great again.. I haven't tried shallow lake where it was giving me fits the other day, but worked great in river.. Thanks Jig34 for helping me out...

Jig34, it's still doing it. Not in deep water.. But when I fish under 10ft water it doubles the depth and I see multiple bottoms like in pic... Any ideas, I reset it and we tried new transducer. If I turn power off and back on, it works for a few minutes then messes up..

Try going manual and back it off a little and see if it fixes it!!

I put on manual... I can run it to where I can see it half the time, but the water depth is always double.. Unless I'm in deep water... This lake is 5foot all the way across.. Dirty stained water.. I thought last night to take SD card out thinking maybe it's a corrupt SD card.. It didn't help...

I can get this from time to time when going from deep water to shallow water before the unit can adjust. If you have backed off the settings and still getting it call CS and have your unit sent in and checked.
