Probably pretty pricey to send in... If it's over 100 bucks, probably be better to buy new unit.. That bites.. Definitely something wrong.. I never noticed until I've stuck it on trolling motor.. Any ideas if the metal on the trolling motor would cause some kind of interference or anything..

Do you have the ferrite installed? Might be getting "noise" from the trolling motor.

I would think when trolling motor is off, It would not cause interference.. In other words I would only get interference when I give it throttle.. I have a 2000 brute 756 trolling motor.. Nothing fancy as far as digital or anything like that.. Assuming ferrite would go on transducer cable or power cable? I guess I need to order some and try..

The magnets in the motor are very strong. Might be what's causing problems

If you still have the Dragonfly box, check there - (1) ferrite is in the box with every unit.

installed on power cables and are to be positioned as close is permissible to the cable's plug.

Google RF Choke for info, articles and where to buy.

Run it in manual. Auto will have a hard time adjusting when on a soft bottom. Ive seen every brand do this.

    And put that Ferrite/choke on.

It's just an echo, something between the water temp and the bottom of the lake having either a really hard or really soft bottom also this normally only happens when the water is glassy, when the water is wavy it can't echo bottom to surface back to the bottom to the transducer
