    Charger

Thinking of upgrading. Looking at the 195 or 296. I am in a triton now. But have always loved the look and have heard about the ride of a charger. What else is there about the charger to get me out of a triton and not buy another triton?

Family owned, premium quality. I dare say it won't be as fast of a similar size and powered Triton, but they last and are a true quality hull in my opinion. Ride and decide...

If you want the best 19 foot boat look at the 396 it will handle a 225 .

The ride it's that simple. I have fished out a few Triton boats and I'm not going to bash them but you can't compare the ride especially in rough water. I fish out of a 186 but have rode in almost every size Charger except for the 797 and hands down Charger has the best ride.

A major comparison would be the drive at WOT. Every Triton I have been in you get over 60 mph you have to drive them hard to fight chine walk. Chargers are hammer down, trim up, and go on.

As far as boats you won't get a better boat for the money. Mines 16 years old (2001) so far the seats made it 12 years before I had them redone which was my fault for stepping on them. The gel still looks new except the battle scares I have put on it which in my opinion would look worse on other boats. I did have to change the livewell values after 15 years. Other then that I will be redoing the carpet this winter just because I want a padded deck. If I took my to a shop and had it professionally cleaned and buffed out it would pass as new. Unless it wasn't taken care of at all the vast majority of Chargers all age very well.

A 296 is a little wider on the interior than the 195 from my understanding.
