Our Miracle
On June 26th my brother Jeff and I were exploring the Cumberland and Obed rivers. Intending to spend the evening on Center Hill we were leaving Roaring River state park in Gainsboro, Tn. when we stopped at the stop sign by the entrance to the park. Checking traffic to my left I spotted a little brown head sticking up just above some tall grass. Said to Jeff “someone must have lost their puppy from the campgrounds”. Got out and approached him. He tried to stand up, but was all skin and bone, starving. Some POS let him go. Large laceration on his neck, fleas n ticks and to weak to walk. We gave him some emergency rations and water, put him in back of our truck. Long story short, no animal shelter in Jackson county or vet according to county sheriff. So we drove 100 miles home, took him to our vet and got him going. 5 ½ month old Plott hound. Sweet as can be, now a part of our forever family . . . Meet Bob !
