Nothing about a Jennings is good. Bought one years ago and thought going cheap was ok. Not reliable at all and jammed every other round at best. Good luck to you.

I actually have several of the little "saturday night special" pistols. Jennings, Lorcin, Phoenix, titan and i think one called a bryan? I will have to check the safe. 2 of them were passed down to me from 2 seperate grandfathers and then i have picked a few more up over the years. I dont shoot them because i know they are not reliable. I just think they are neat! One gun that is cheaper and on that list that i have heard a lot of fairly descent reviews on is the Jiminez. If you want small and reliable you will likely have to upgrade a bit to something such as the Ruger LCP, Smith and wesson bodyguard, Keltec P32 or P3at. , or even the Taurus TCP.

For the price of a Jimenez, Bryco Jennings, Hi-Point, Lorcin, or any other pot metal junk you can find a milsurp Makarov clone...hell, even a Canik TP9 for a little more money. They're going to be worlds better materials and be 1000x more reliable.

Complete total junk, not to mention unsafe. Get rid of it and don't let your wife use it for carry.

HA! Yeah, forgot about that. Not allowed at my local indoor range either. They have video of a Bryco Jennings ejecting the slide down range from a limp wristed shooter. lol
