I have 2 buddies with that boat with 250 Verados and if the batteries are moved to the back, the boat struggles to get on plane.... it apparently needs them farther forward

I ordered a 2018 2075 Pro-Vee Bass XS model last week. The Lund Boat Rep told me that the batteries were going to be relocated to the rear and that on the bench seat model the "pop up tackle" box was going to be removed.
There's room on the 2017 2075 to put 5 batteries, a charger, the steering pump for the verado, and still room for a fire extinguisher and other items. And that's just the 2 back compartments, there are two more in front of them that hold 30 planos in each one. It was too much weight back there, along with the twin talons it made the bow stick up too high. We both put the 3 batteries back up front where they were suppose to be and it leveled the boat out nice. The boat got up on plane great either way, just the bow height was wrong. The hole shot on these boats blows away any fiberglass rigs I've run over the last 20+ years. We still have 2 group 29 batteries in the rear hooked in parallel for the verado and 3 solix etc - haven't had a low battery issue yet and that's running 3 15's, livewells, hydrowave and other stuff like gopros off the 12v etc all day.
Do you have the regular model or the xs? I ordered the xs and thats what they are moving the batteries to the back in. I Don't see why they would do that but maybe since there isn't as much deck back there it wont be an issue? Im not going to run any shallow water anchors either.
We have the regular model, not the xs. Still not sure how they'll get it to work with all batteries in the back on either model. I've had at least 7 different fiberglass boats and none were all that picky how you placed your weight in the boat. I noticed with this Lund you need to plan out where your weight is to keep things leveled out good. Once you have it the boat works great, just can't shove all the heavy stuff into one corner of the boat. We also put 10" heavy duty atlas plates and twin talons with brackets and tilt brackets on so that added a bunch of weight to the back of the boat. It might not have been so bad without all that back there, but I'm not fishing without that stuff on the boat.
Yea ill have to see what they come up with. If it's no good hopefully I can move the batteries back under the rod locker. Sounds like you have a lot more weight back there then I plan on having. I want to add an additional cranking battery but that's it. The Jack plate and talons and everything you have is definitely a lot of weight... I personally don't have a reason for a jack plate and anchors and what not.
We are both running a Solix 15 on the console and dual Solix 15's on the bow. On the transom we just mounted one of those plastic plates and then put the transducers right on that. I tried putting the mega ducer on a transducer shield saver on the atlas plate but the way the transom is straight up and down it didn't seem to let enough clean water to fill in that area to get a reading, so it's on that plastic plate and right at the bottom of the boat.
I have the 2017 2075 in a bench seat version. I have two batteries in the rear and three up front with the charger. I love he boat. Has been great here in St. Clair as well as Erie so far. As mentioned earlier the hole shot is amazing. I am running a g2 on mine. I am interested to see what changes they have made in the '18's. Hope there are some pics soon.
yea I have been searching for any info I can find on the 2018 model but have not had much luck. I just got the word that the build was completed on mine and just waiting on it to be shipped. All I could gather was the batteries were moved and the graphics were changed
That's great to hear. Hard to get a real comparison in rough conditions. It's a great boat.
