If you think the motor is running OK, it might be just a to much prop problem. You said the 24 Raker has been reworked, as in more cup? What pitch is your 4 blade? On your motor legs you have a trim limiter rod and several holes for different positions, is this rod in the hole to allow the most trim in?
Renegade 23 13 1/2 raker was rebuilt to original specs
do you have a timming gun?to check for a misfire?
Trim limiter rod placement?
Timming gun??????
Age and treachery will always overcome youth and skill !!
you talking about a timing light
Some times I don't know why I bother to ask questions. Sir, if that trim limiter rod is not allowing your motor to trim all the way down, or in, your boat would do just what it is doing. This might not be your problem, but I have seen this before. You have stated that you were told the motor runs fine, but you still have this problem and have for several years. It might be something to look at and at least give us an answer.
316 I did check the trim limiter is in the second hole and to my knowledge has never been moved it is in the first hole on the bottom in an over and under configuration with the first top hole being closer to the transom. It checks fine on a land locked marina on a dyno, but in the water its a pig.
Thanks for the answer. That position should let the motor trim all the way down or in. Your 4 blade should just jump the boat out of the hole. How about your jack plate? Is the motor tucked in at the bottom or parallel with the transom? Believe it or not, but I had one guy install his jack plate up side down. Was the dyno test done in a tank or on a hose?

6 inch jack plate, was already installed when I bought the boat, don't know about dyno will send pic of jack plate
Have you had this problem since you bought the boat, or did it once run and get out of the hole OK?
when I test drove this boat it was rocket, 65 miles an hour, hole shot was perfect, I hurt my leg and was side lined for three months, after that the boat never ran right. I tried to post a picture failed many times
