Is there a trick to keeping crappie alive in these things? Two days of fishing and they will not stay alive. Thanks.

If it's 1000 degrees outside put a little ice in the livewell. Not a crazy amount, don't want to freeze them or shock them. Just two cups or so every hour. And keep the airator on if there's a lot of them in there. That's about all I do and they stay alive enough to flop when they're getting processed at the end of the day.

Are your boat seats trashed? Fix them yourself and save $1000!

Tell us what you're doing now, Janky. And where you are would help too. It's nice and cool "at the end of the bar" so your fish should live a good long time :D

My boat is up at Toledo Bend right now. I will be heading up there on Wednesday. My starboard livewell has a black circle thing that when I run the recirc a milky cloud comes out. I hope to get some pics and maybe a video to illustrate what I am saying. I was able to keep my bass alive ok, but the crappie turn on their sides quickly and eventually die.
