Johnson 150 headache.
2006 stratos 285 pro with 2006 johnson 150 brp(j150glsde ). 6" jackplate prop 2 pad is 3.5". Turning a 23p michigan rapture prop. At wot it's running 56 with only 4500 rpm. I would think it sling a 23 easy so I changed plugs de-cared compression is good all cylinders 115. Water pressure is 20 at wot. Bad prop or what?

Your tach is off if the speed is GPS. You would only be doing 50 at 4500 rpm's. You can remove the prop and on the back there should be a setting screw that you can turn left and right a few times then return it to the original setting and that could clear up the tach.

II assume you mean taking the tach off. I'll give that a try next time out. I just recently replaced that tach it's the system check/tach combo maybe didn't set it right. I appreciate the reply.

Get a 24 Raker. I have a 2004 285ProXl with 150 Johnson, same set up as yours but 3 3/8" prop to pad. 61mph at 5400-5500, great lift with the Raker. Mine has been worked by Mark.

I got a raker 2 prop with a tbx hub kit. It didn't come with a thrust washer so can I use my flo- torq thrust washer or are they different?
