2016 model came rigged with 4 interstate batteries. Recently noticed white powder residue on all of the battery trays. I pulled all of the batteries and then proceeded to pull the battery trays. Every damn screw head twisted off with the slightest twist of a Phillips screw driver, yeah 16 screws. Then proceeded to remove the trays. Each of these had some type of gorilla adhesive under the tray bonding them to the finished fiberglass. I finally got them out and each of the trays were corroded where the nylon strap rubbed on the powder coat. The trays are scrap aluminum now. Purchased 4 trays from West Marine that are made of molded plastic with top piece clamping to the bottom.

Legend if you are reading this the screws you used to hold the battery trays are garbage.

Why put gorilla adhesive under the trays on to finished fiberglass? Really!

Why use aluminum trays under batteries? If aluminum was such a good idea don't you think battery manufacturers would use aluminum cases to hold the lead and acid
