Caracal net scabbard

Any caracal owners have pictures of there net in the scabbard? I bought a new net, but I'm afraid too much of it is out of the scabbard and will lose it at speed.

I can get you a picture later today. Mine fits down in the scabbard pretty far. I'd say about 5" or so of it sticks out. I did have to cut part of the handle off of the Caracal net that BCB sells though to get it to fit.

Mine looks pretty much like Gary's. My net may go a bit farther down into the scabbard.

New ranger net fits well. Had to run some electricians tape over one of the locking pins to hold it down a bit to fit easier in the scabboard. Was sticking a bit coming out, going in no problem.

Alot of newer nets have deep baskets and too much netting to cram into the scabbard. I got a Ranger Octagon net and put a shallow rubber basket in it from ego. You can quick draw it out easily. received_10158246309035417.jpg

The one I used was a ranger ruler net, the handle tubing is octagon, and it originally came with standard net material. It fits quite well. I wish it was offered with the rubber mesh net standard. I'm surprised you guys don't have the pull to ask for a few custom nets for the caracal. I tried the 'caracal net' and it worked but it has too much netting to pull from the scabbard quickly. I ended up returning it and sitting the in local bass pro shops parking lot trying nets for an hour.

A few hundred nets does not bring much pull from a manufacturer. The bait/tackle business and bass boat worlds just really don't cross over as everyone thinks.

Problem with the rubber net is it tears / wears out easily when pushed into and pulled out of the scabboard. I've used mine twice and already have two webs broke. One looks like it rubbed between the net frame and the scabboard. The other may have broke being pushed into the scabboard.
