Has anybody first leg Hernando in Citrus County lately just wondering how the fishing has been out there before I make a hike to get there and how are the water levels

I fished a 15 boat tourney out of Henderson last week 10lbs 6oz won it and the lake is still low. I'd say Hernando is still low to. Caught one nice one the weekend before on Henderson

Lakes down about 3ft right now. Fishing is a lot better when the water is up out there.

I don't get here too often anymorebut here's the last 4 trips results. The water is low but a bit better since the rain. You can run the canals.I've been fishing a bit deeper and it's paid off.numbers in 4 hours were 18, 10,6 and this morning 5 in 3 hours before the thunder got me off the water.

If you found those pads in water deeper than 2 feet you my friend are amazing. Just got back there was a County spray boat pulling out when I pulled in I went around Cabbage Island then moved around a little.
