With all of the horsepower restricted and electric only lakes in Illinois, this would be an awesome option for guys looking to add a more capable power source other than a trolling motor. I have the ultralight 403 motor on my kayak, which is a 1 HP equivalent motor, and I am getting from 4-5 mph. Battery lasts 6-7 hours pretty easily.
I have also tested there 1.5 horsepower equivalent 503 motor on my buddy's jon boat with both him and I in it and got 3 to 3.5 mph. Again with 5-6 hours of battery life.
Just thought I would pass along the info as it has helped me cover a lot more water out of my kayak so far this year! www.Torqeedo.com
