Gas vent?

I have a 1995 21 foot cobra. I'm having problems with the gas vent. The gas is just seeping out of the gas cap. Does anyone know how to correct this problem?

I have a 1997 188 and mine does it too. I've replaced the cap/vent and it still does it. I keep the tank about half full unless I know I be burning it in a single day. That seems to help.

I have a 1996 Cobra and have not had this problem. I would look at the vent hose to make sure its not kinked are have some kind of obstruction. It may be trying to vent thru the fill hose and pushing small amount of gas out the cap.

I also have a 96 188D and don't have have this problem. My dad has a 01' 201D that does not have the problem. There must be an issue somewhere.

Has it always done that or is it just something you've noticed recently?

Dunno about the OP, but mine has done it since I bought it in 2002.

I also have a 2001 Cobra and no leaks so far. it gets topped off occasionally as well
