    Sams club agm battery

Would the sams club agm battery 31 be good enough for cranking a mercury 250 proxs, and run all day with 2 hds units, lives wells? Then have enough to crank up big motor.

    It says 800cc and 1000mc.

I have been running one since February with no issues. Cranking a 200 Pro XS with 2 HDS units and a LSS-1. What I researched those are built by Deka. So far so good on mine.

I ran one for 3 years and it was still pretty strong when I replaced it.

Probably IF it has a full charge before you launch.

I have the sams club Duracell agm 31 battery and have had no issues in the last year. It starts a 225 optimax, with 2 hds8's and a hds 9 while running livewell pumps with no problems ever, ive went at least 4 hrs on straight battery running everything too, motor still cranked like it was full charged

If you ask this question on the 3 ltr forum, Don and Savage will tell you to go bigger. Mercury calls for 800 cca and 1000 mca "minimum". That's running the engine alone with no other electronics. I had a 31 interstate agm with 915 cca/1125 mca and it only lasted 2 years. Not saying the sams club battery wont work, im just saying the draw on it will shorten its lifespan.

Running one since January zero issues (about 35 days on the water) - replaced 2.5 yr old PM1 that wouldn't hold charge - cranking 225ProXS - HDS12G2, HDS8G2 - charged by MK460PC - zero issues.

I was a little worried about the Specs too - but per post above there was a thread that listed this battery the same (Deka with different model#) as a one of the Mercury Recommended Deka AGMs - Regardless, if the Deka heritage is accurate or not - for the money I am very pleased.

Related a buddy is running 3 of these for his TM - with good results as well.

    Good luck.

Very happy with mine! I read enough post on BBC to make me try one and so far... no regrets!

I have one for my starting battery on my 250 Yamaha SHO and I run 3 lowrance HDS and live wells for hours on end without starting it to charge and no problems.

guess now this battery is on sale at $159.00
even if it does shorten the batteries lifespan, still cheaper. if you get 3 to 4 yrs out of it.
