    496 numbers

So I got a chance to run the 496 today in some decent water. Pretty impressive for a boat that handles the rough water so well. 1/3 tank of fuel, safety gear, 8 fishing rods, 1 small tackle bag, 2 group 31 AGM batteries, 1 group 29 wet cell, motor guide tour edition, just me(180lbs). 250 pro xs, 25" Tempest Plus(stock), 2.75" below pad, 77.1 mph(gps) @ 5970 rpm. From 73 on up it did walk a little and does require some driving to keep it straight.

What s really nice is it's a caddy that becomes a corvette in a matter of seconds that's what the Charger hull is all about.

Yesterday morning I was able to run some with my dad(200lbs) and me. 12 rods, 2 medium bags of tackle, cooler of food and water, 1 bicycle seat installed on the front and 1 bicycle seat installed on the rear deck, 3/4 tank of fuel. 74.8 mph @ 5800-5900 rpm. It was mid to high 80's through out the day and water temps are in the low 80's.
