Trailer bunk material other than carpeting??

There has been some talk around BBC on replacing trailer bunk carpeting with various materials to avoid hull blisters for one thing. What is the best product out there to use when replacing bunk carpeting and/or bunks??
    Thanks

Do your bunks stand on edge like other allison models? Forget the gatorbacks for that. Do you have blisters? Not much to worry about on an allison if you dont already have them.

I do not have blisters and yes my set of bunks that is supposed to carry the majority of weight are vertical. These are my problems. Why forget the gatorbacks? They have products for the edges of those boards.

I have never seen gatorbacks made for the edge of a board. If they do make them that would be the ticket

I'm looking at getting new bunks before next season. My Sabre FTD has a black boot. Has anyone noticed scuffing or marks using Gatorbaks on a black hull?
Also, the bunks on my Sabre FTD are cut with an age on the back approach edge, and the front of the center bunks are cut down slightly from a full 2x6 size. Are Gatorbaks able to be formed around less than square lumber?

Roller trailer. I know, blaspheme to suggest a roller trailer on a fiberglass bass boat, stress points, etc. But look how many big glass cruisers and sport boats are paired with roller trailers. I had a 27' Chaparral on a roller trailer years ago - zero issues.
Are bass boat lamination schedules just not thick enough to allow a roller trailer option?

My Puma has a black bottom and black gatorbacks and no scuffing that I have noticed. Why not order the bunks wrapped with gatorback from Basscat? You know what you are getting then.

I'll have to call Allen in Parts and ask him if they can be ordered that way. I guess the new material they were trying out didn't make the cut. It's no longer available.

If you can get your hands on the teflon that they put on the bottom of airboats and counter sink and screw that to your bunks that is the best I ever used. Don't un hook the bow until it's in the water on a steep ramp though!

gotorbak won't work on a bass cat. they have a reverse chine on the transom that causes issues
