Chopawamsic Creek

I'm aware that you can no longer gain access into Chopawamsic Creek from the main river, looking on Google Earth its evident a barrier was constructed about 100 yards from the narrow entry near the end of the air strip. My question is - will you be chased off if you fish right at the entrance and not actually try to go into the narrow channel?

It's been years since I fished this area after it was made off limits, initially they put up a floating barrier that extended out beyond the entrance that eliminated access to the two small points on either side of the entrance, it appears this is no longer the case.

The buoys for Quantico secure area extend well out past the entrance. So no you can not get near the airfield or the creek.
