How to tell what carpet is in boat

Is there a way to tell if I have 16 oz or 20 oz carpet in my boat? Getting ready to replace the carpet in my 1996 Blazer.

It's very hard to tell after it's been walked on but I'd have to guess 20oz. You might be able to ask your dealer

Easier to request samples of new carpet and see what it's like when you get it in your hands.
