I don't trust Shimano since that Curado"G" they put out a few years ago and the way they "Restructured" their line up. Love my Curado 'E's" tho!!

I've got a couple 200 series Curado Ds that I just love, but I only decided I love them after removing the anti-reverse pawl. The roller bearing takes care of that function, and the extra smoothness without that clacker in there is substantial. These reels are great for frog fishing and other situations that require a bit more power. It really saved the Shimano brand for me as I was "done" with them after dealing with $100+ spinning reels binding up on me.

That being said, I still don't really look to Shimano first when I'm buying a reel. Daiwa's Tatula line has several options that are just as good if not better, and the 13 Fishing Concept A is a Curado killer in my mind - every bit as good if not better out of the box, and they just hold up better between maintenance.

The early models of Chronarch's were real work horses but the lighter weight in Curado's are much more a pleasure on these older arms of mine. Cores and Curado E's are all I use anymore in baitcasters.

Got plenty of I series reels, 200's and 70's, absolutely nothing wrong with them for me. I have Zillions, Tatula CT Type R's, regular Type R's, Revos, and Concept C's and the only ones that come close to the Curados is the Concept C for me. Nothing wrong with all the others, just won't compete in the casting dept as the Curado I's for me.

I never understand this comment. I have 14 and they have all performed flawlessly.
