A Few New Pics of my 1991 Ragin Cajun

I always like seeing pictures of everyone's Cajun boats so I thought I would post a couple of mine from a week ago.

Nice looking boat. It's got to be a very fast one.

Looks great! How fast does she go? I have the same boat but with a 2003 evinrude, goes about 45, not sure if that's low or to be expected!

Danman that seems slow. I'm 19' with 150 and I'm in Upper 50s(gps). I've only driven it once.

I thought it seemed a bit slow, it had a 120 on it, I didn't realize it was rated for a 150 when I repowered after the 120 blew.

    What are your numbers? Rpm
    Prop size.
    Hole shot?

Rpms are around 5600, if I trim up too much it blows out and goes to 6000. Prop is a 13x19, holeshot is not horrible but the prop was cupped to supposedly help. With my dad in the boat (~330 lbs) I can't get up on plane unless he moves forward.

Sounds like you would benefit from a jack plate and a possible motor height adjustment. I'm no expert, tho. Might poke around the champion board and see what the 171s are running or ask in the set up board.

I'm not much for speed on the water and It's generally loaded down with two High School fisherman, but my son and I have done mid 50's.

Nice looking boat. I have the same exact boat, except mine is single consol. Mine has a Yamaha 115. I put a 6" jack plate on it and getting 50-52 mph (gps). Holeshot is great with a 22 pitch prop. Been thinking of getting something new, but can't get rid of the Cajun.

I would love a single console to have a bit more room to move around. I love the boat and it has been taken care of by its previous owners which helps.

Very nice looking boat! My first bass boat ever was a Cajun, I looked for one for when I bought my Legend couldn't find one anywhere.

I'm running a 19 foot Cajun at 58 mph with a 150. Something going on there for sure.
