Compared to an 8 hour tournament a great deal of these weights are questionable to me. Seriously 30 pounds is a true 6 pound average. 25 pounds of small mouth is a 5 pound average. Cut out the crazy weights that may have been caught under different circumstances and not in an 8 hour day. For 80% of the U.S. A 20 pound bag is huge.

Tournaments - 16 in a team tournament, over 16 in an Erie BFL as a co-angler, and fun fishing 26-27 or so when the smallie fishing was booming in the central basin of Erie. There were times that we stopped counting at 100 fish per day, but had a 3-4 pound average. But, a few years later, a 40 fish day was considered a good day, but they averaged 4-5 pounds with a 6-7 as big fish. Then, that fishery crashed.

18+lb in a tournament, 20lb even fun fishing (rounding down to 1/4lb on boga grip) so it was probably close to 21. I've had entire seasons of tournaments and I can't add up to some of these weights posted on here.

I caught 28# in practice on Tuesday before a tournament fishing behind my friend who had 31# that day. Went back and won the tournament with 25.29# with 5 fish--one of which was barely 15".
