    As anyone used Seadek?

Has anyone used Seadek in their bass boat? If so how do you like it? Was it difficult to get all of the glue up from the carpet? Got any pics you can share?

I just got a sample box in yesterday from Sea Dek and considering using it on my Ranger 481VS. Carpet is starting to pull up at edges so its either glue it back down or bite the bullet and swap out for Sea Dek. My biggest question is how much hotter is storm gray compared to cool gray because storm would look better I think.

If anyone has links to those Allison & Stoker boats that would be nice.

I did see this pic and thought it looked great.

The one issue is the gaps between the lids when you remove the carpet. I haven't heard a good solution yet. But I really won't to go with SeaDek. It looks awesome and people who use it say it is very comfortable. I have heard that the cool gray is significantly cooler and as such has more resistance to edge curl..

I just re-carpeted my boat, (top 1/2). I plan to install the seadek on the floor in front of the seats. I'll post a picture when completed. This is in a TR21 that is having a total make-over. New seats, carpet, panels, and trolling motor.

I had some installed on my fly fishing boat, worked great, I have a legend v20. Not sure if I would put it on this rig.

That looks great!! How much does that cost? Is it more or less expensive then carpeting your boat and putting the pad in? It's about that time for my boat and I have been wondering this?!?

Have you seen Safefloor product ? I have been thinking about it they fill in your comparment gaps with aluminum strips then apply the product so there is no gaps (that's what I been told).

Javelin, That is an interesting product but I don't understand where they are putting the aluminum strips. Are they using them as shims behind each edge of the hinge?

Cost is dependent, but it will be almost twice the cost of carpet. I have had small areas in my last flats boat done and it is pricy. I am sure the more common it becomes the price will come down.

It's not expensive if you buy sheet material and diy I thought maybe 600ish. If you pay someone to scan your boat and custom cut with logos I was told it would be roughly 2500.

If if happens, I will have to go the diy route.

I did mine with their DIY kit. There is no problem with heat on the storm grey color. I recommend you have them make up dry fit templets from your tracings so you can be sure of the fit before they cut your pieces. They run your tracings thru a computer program that straightens your lines and curves.

Nice job marlin. What did that end up costing and what was the turnaround time?

    Thanks

How do you clean it? My father-in-law has a seadeck pad to stand on in his bay boat at the center console. After about a year, the white seadeck pad looks a little worn down and brown...not white. How do you clean it up? How is this stuff holding up over time? It looks great brand new, but does anyone have photos of theirs about 1-2 years later?
