Just got 200 Pro xs out of shop now getting beeps

Picked up the boat on Thursday from the shop. They replaced the lower unit seals and water pump along with the fuel filter. Went to the lake on Friday. While making long idles through no wake zones, several minutes, I start getting warning beeps. Shut off and recrank no beeps until I make another long idle. Talked to service rep who worked on engine while on the lake. He stated it was trash in the thermostat causing the engine to think it was too cold. If that was the case wouldn't the motor quit "peeing"? He told me not to worry about go ahead and run it. I put it on the trailer. Does this sound right?

Not to worry about it, good one. And was able to diagnose the engine while you were on the water and he was at the shop. Now take it back and have them fix it.

No.........Both thermostats need to be cleaned, or replaced. Get it fixed now before you damage the motor.
