New Power Poles need set up help ?

Guys I have a 02 Triton TR20 with a 225 Optimax 5.5 jackplate running a 26P Fury 3 blade . Water pressure is 25 , rpm is at 5800 . top end is 74.3 mph. I just put on a pair of power poles and lost my hole shot . So I need some help to correct the hole shot but not loss to much top end . If I lower the motor will I gain hole shot ? And I have to assume I will loss top end ! Can I help the top end with a 27P prop ? Or can I leave the motor where it is and change to a 4 blade 26P to correct the hole shot and hopefully my top end ??

    Thanks for your help !

You need a bravo xs 25" or 26" or a 25" tempest prop now and not a fury 3 to carry the load and your going to lose some speed. You could also try a 25" fury 4. Was the top end speed 74 before or after you added the poles?

74.3 is after the poles were put on . I haven't lost any speed due to the poles just the hole shot

I'd try the 25" fury 4. If you can turn it 5800+ rpms you should hit 74 with it and gain on your hole shot. How bad is the hole shot with the 26" fury now?

The brackets are like a pair of wings and do drag water at first blast off . When I hit the peddle the nose jumps up and we plow water for 20 to 30 yards before she comes over the top . And most of the time I have to turn to the right to get to start over the top . The boat came with a 26 P Trophy plus 4 blade which would jump right up but they throw blades every2 years ,I have been though 3 of them . Do you think I could turn a 26p Fury on my 225 Opti ?

What prop are you actually running the 26" trophy or the fury?? The 26 trophy isn't a good prop unless it's been worked and I doubt you'll turn a 26 fury if that motor is a regular opti max. If you don't have a good hole shot now and put a 26" fury on it you won't have any hole shot. I'd go with a 25" fury 4 or a bravo xs. How high prop to pad are you running you prop now?
