Washington Park jetty, rip a small red rattle trap, but be careful-might hook into a steelhead too. Smalljaws are fickle there, depends on winds.

Agree with Brian, that jetty at Washington Park, is about the only place.

Clear lake in LaPorte (15 min away) is a great place to shore fish. The entire lake is accessible from shore. No smallies but there are decent sized bass, pike, and bowfin. I don't pan fish but there are gills and crappie as wells.
