    Fishing in grass

I been fishing night tournaments, as time has went on mucky grass has grown around the edges of grass beds usually i fish a trig or shakey head but lately all ive done is just bog down with grass. What other techniques would be good in the situation beside topwater? I been thinking drop shot, fluke, jerk bait maybe just out of ideas to produce a few fish. My partner was throwing a weightless trick worm in it got a few bites, just small dinks. Its just messy cleaning it, my trolling motor tray and the front of my boat grass is everywhere from cleaning it

Maybe swim something over the top of it, like a swim jig.

Try slow-rolling a 1/2 - 3/4 oz. spinnerbait with a BIG Colorado blade. Keep it just off of the bottom, barely ticking the top of the grass. Our fish here in Northern Alabama absolutely hammer those things at night.

I couldn't tell from description if the grass consistency is the same but I have had good success swimming a Zoom speed worm through grass on one of my local lakes.
